WUN TING WENDY TAI

Suspend, 2010.
Installation. 9 x 9 x 5 ft. Balloon, fans, ink brush, paper.

Wind from the fans pushed the balloon, causing the ink brush to dance around the paper on the floor.
The piece draws from my childhood experience of learning Chinese painting, and my struggle in mastering the 'suspend the wrist, suspend the elbow' technique.
